Il costo
A show brings together preparation, presentation and a few minutes in the ring. With a wirehaired dachshund, coat care is part of that preparation, alongside the daily work of knowing and handling the dog.
Our historic archive preserves 84 pages from 2007 to 2018, with results from fourteen countries: Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, France, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Finland and Ukraine.
Handwritten cards, diplomas, rosettes and photographs record those journeys. They also retain the names of the dogs who made them memorable.
Francesca’s account recalls Vittakerdoolar’s seventy Best of Breed awards, thirty group wins and many Best in Show wins.
Il trofeo
Most prizes go to a dog. One went to the breeding itself. Five times, the pages in the archive read the same way: «Trofeo Allevamento — 1° Classificato Esposizioni — 4° gruppo Bassotti», on ENCI certificates naming the Allevamento del Wanhelsing — in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015.
The 2008 certificate names Friggione Francesca; the 2010 certificate names Pascarella Gabriel Mario. Together, they record both generations of the family within the kennel’s history.
